Ana sculpted by Jan McLean doll artist and costumed by Doris de Pont fashion designer. The inspiration for the garment and the 2005 season came from a vibrant and colorful painting of a collection of people engaged in the pure fun of dance. A pure cotton lawn dance skirt, screen-printed exclusively for this collection with imagery derived from an original painting by Linga Krishnasamy, worn over turquoise petticoats. The fitted top is in lapis-coloured mesh with turquoise print and has a cascade neckline.The outfit is topped by a tailored printed jacket which has a Courreges-inspired collar and turquoise buttons. Ana has turquoise platform espadrilles shoes. Jewelry by Idour Gold cuff bracelet with African garnet, amber and turquoise. Matching earrings with shimmering white sapphires. Estee Lauder make-up.

About Doris de Pont
Doris de Pont has been an important part of New Zealand's creative high fashion design landscape for more than 20 years.

She has been internationally recognized for merging art and fashion to create totally wearable yet unique collections which are sold thoguht New Zealand and Australia as well as Japan and part of Europe.

Each season, Doris de Pont takes inspiration from a piece of art to create collectible prints that make her original clothing so distinctive, working with New Zealand artists such as Richard Killeen, Sally Tagg, Gregory O'Brien, Paul Hartigan, Inga Krishnasamy, Paul Pule and Tracey Williams who have inspired recent collections.

She has staged attention grabbing shows of Air New Zealand Fashion Weeks and Mercedes Australian Fashion Weeks and her work is recognised as important by the Auckland Museum and the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, which have bought pieces for their permanent collections.

In may of 2006 she opened a signature show in Auckland's fashion haven, Ponsonby, where she stocks not only her full women's collection but also selected items for men with each season's signature print.
